New addition/s coming soon

As I mentioned before, our family is adopting. Thrilled does not even express the excitement that we have as a family to be welcoming new children into our home. Zack constantly asks when his new brother will be arriving. Makes my heart melt! This journey for us actually started a long time ago when we had just had Zackery. I never felt that “done” feeling that some other mommies have. After some discussion we decided to call it quits for having bio children, however left the conversation open to adoption. When I mean open, I mean Noah mentioned it and I had a not so welcoming face to the idea. So therefore the conversation was left open and quiet.

Last December I sat around a large dinner table with some of the dearest friends...

School Time

We started school a couple of weeks ago and it has taken me that long to get back into the swing of things. No more 9am wake up times, or free spirited days of doing whatever we wanted to do for that day. Nope its back to a schedule. Which I am seeming to make sound bad, which in reality I actually love. I like to know what comes next. That seems to fit me best. With that said, the beginning of school this year was a bit overwhelming. Our materials did not come in when I anticipated, so I had to pull out last years things. I had planned on having everything placed in our fancy agendas (thank you Erica, confessions of a homeschooler…you should go check it, I believe they are still free to download) Well needless to say that did not  happen...

End of summer 2013

The end of summer is always a bitter sweet one. I love being able to stay up late and not worry about what time we wake up in the mornings. Lots of lazy days with some fun scheduled activities mixed in there. There is something very exciting about starting a new year of school though.  This summer has been exceptionally busy with lots of trips that were not only planned but executed. I can’t tell you how many summers I plan, plan, plan and then life happens and things don’t work out.

We enjoyed Hume Lake for a week, Phoenix with some of our favorite people, and a weekend at the beach. We also got to witness our oldest Taylor, get baptized.  Lots of day trips as well, but these were our planned and followed through trips.  I have to admit, this summer has been our best so far.

I’m back

HELLO!!!

So after a much needed social media break, I am back! Oh it feels so good to be writing , sharing, and communicating with my friends again. God has been working in my heart so much over this last year, and even though I wasn’t completely gone from social media, I was far enough away to be able to hear Him a little more clearly.

What do you think of my new website? Isn’t it fancy? My awesome brother in law designed and revamped it. It is so much more user friendly. There are still some things we are working on, but I can’t thank him enough for providing a professional blog for me…..{{HUGS}} Ryan!

So I am going to try and catch you up with a few things that have been going on in the Caracciolo household since last summer.

~We finished our second year of homeschooling...

Celebrating us

Yesterday was a great day that I wanted to share with you all. Noah and I celebrated 9 years of marriage and 13 years together. Yep that’s right we started dating and got married and don’t forget got engaged all on the same day. Different years of course!

We met through a mutual friend while I was still in high school and he was one year out of high school. I really fell fast for him. Now that happens at that age a lot, I know. I was no different but our relationship was. We worked through some harder times in the beginning of our relationship and made it work. I am so grateful we did!

He is my best friend, the one I desire to talk to, share dreams to, confide in, trust and love! He is an amazing husband who loves me more than I deserve...

Soccer has begun!

This past weekend Little T officially started her soccer tournament season with one of the largest tournaments that we have ever attended. Noah is the assistant coach this year to her team and we are very excited to see how they do this year.

Even my mom and my favorite little monkey came out to watch.

Each child on the team has to sit out one tournament because of the number of girls on the team. We decided to have Little T sit first. We then got a call from the U14 coach asking if she could play for his team. What an honor! I try very hard to be humble. Sometimes it is just not in my personality….and this weekend was no different. I was a PROUD MOMMA!

She just turned 12 and played this weekend with girls that are 13-14 some going on 15! She played her little heart ...

Happy Birthday T

Today my family celebrates the birthday of my oldest child. Little T is 12 years old. I can’t believe it! I know I say that every year and it never fully seems to sink in that she is this old. Twelve years ago I was a scared, excited, and overwhelmed brand new momma. She was delivered at 8:45 am by my midwife Fran. As she was coming her heart rate dropped and they needed to get her out fast. The next few hours were a blur not knowing exactly what was wrong with her. The nurses assured me she was okay but the fact that I wasn’t able to see her was definitely telling me a different story. When I finally got to see her about an hour later, my joy turned into fright. I saw my baby there hooked up to so many machines and had no idea what was going on...

Crazy Days

Do you ever have one of those days where nothing seems right. You are stressed, snapping a little too much at your loved ones. Feeling depressed, feeling sorry for yourself. Crying uncontrollably the second someone will listen to you. Locking yourself in a room just to have yet another moment of pity….No? Not you? Well that was me yesterday. I am smiling while I write this only because I feel a million times better. I am not quite sure why I was having all of those issues yesterday, but man was it a bad day.

Being a stay at home mom while homeschooling and holding down the fort while making three meals everyday, can well sometimes suck the joy out of life. Yes, yes I just said that. To be honest…very honest...

All Stars

This past weekend Little T had her All Star games out in Palmdale. Noah was the assistant coach and we were ready for a great turn out. I am always super nervous those first few moments of the game when you just don’t know how it will go. The first moments really set the tone of the entire game for me. You see how the other team is playing and how well our girls match up.

As the game started my nervousness quickly turned into joy. For many years we have always been somewhat the underdogs. We come from a very small town so small in fact that our soccer league consists of 4 cities in one. So when it comes to picking the All Stars we just have a smaller league to pick from especially compared to some of the other cities that we are up against...
